Shadowing Tips

Christy here again today, and I’m excited to share with you some tips for shadowing elements in a cluster.  Whenever someone asks for advice to make their pages look better or especially if they want them to look realistic, I usually advise that they carefully study their shadowing.  Adding shadows to a layout makes it really come to life.

I have a short video for you to show you some you some tips for adding shadows to a cluster of elements on a layout.  I used PSE software, but most of the tips can be used in other programs as well.  The video covers creating a default shadow and adding it to multiple items at the same time, copying and pasting shadows onto similar elements, and thinking about the shape and height of objects so that shadows look realistic.  I hope you find it helpful.  :)  Oh, and it is using the layout I shared with you the other day using Kristin’s Once Upon a Christmas: Crafting kit.
