Hey KCB fans! Monique here with this week’s Gallery Standouts! And can I just say – WOW! It was hard to pick just 3 this week – you fans are all putting out some amazing layouts! I love it! So here it goes – the top 3 for me this week!
From adrianka comes this beautiful layout called Fun in the sun! I just love the use of such a large photo and large elements – it makes this layout so eye catching! And I also love the title work, with the date written right on the photo – something I’ve always loved doing myself. The curves of the elements also really work well with the curves of the hay bale in the photo – loooove it!
This next layout by liahra and aptly titled “yum!” caught my eye with it’s beautiful bright colours paired up with that beautiful bright smile! Look at that messy smile – isn’t it the cutest? I love the scattered ladybugs, the banners directing your eye across the page, and what could describe this layout better than – YUM!?
This final layout by sugirox is called “10 years” and is super sweet. I love the layered papers, the paper stacks beneath the eye catching photo and the beautiful clustering with more papers – strips! The layout is very well balanced but offset just enough to keep it interesting – I love it (I said that already didn’t I?).
Those are this week’s GSO – thank you to everyone who posted layouts in the Sweet Shoppe Gallery – don’t forget to keep posting those layouts for your chance to be featured here on the KCB blog!
That’s all for me this week – you won’t hear from me again for a little while since I’ll be moving in 3 weeks! And this isn’t just some across town or even a to-the-next-town-over kinda move. Nope. We’re moving across country baby! We’ve lived in Alberta for 8yrs now and we’re finally being relocated closer to family
where are we going? To Montreal, Quebec! It will be a bit of a culture shock to us (our little town in Alberta that we’ve lived in for so long is a far cry from the “big city”) but we’re looking forward to being much closer to family (changing the distance from approx. 36hrs away to only about 6hrs away!). So needless to say, I’m going to be pretty busy getting things ready to move (things are getting packed – by a moving company – on our DD’s last day of school!)… then on July 1st we’re driving out there with our daughter (the dog will be flying out later)… then taking possession of our new home July 9th… and settling into our new home! So send me lots of destressing vibes and I’ll see you all on the flip side!!
